HR Director

We are looking for an experienced HR Director to join our team located SW of Minneapolis, on a long-term contract basis. This role requires a dynamic leader who can balance strategic planning with hands-on involvement to support HR operations across multiple sites. You will play a key role in driving employee engagement, ensuring policy compliance, and leading initiatives that align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite HR leadership for this location, including support for staffing and team development during the launch of a second facility.

• Partner with local HR teams to address employee relations, policy interpretation, and site-level training programs.

• Coordinate benefit open enrollment processes and oversee performance and merit planning cycles.

• Act as a liaison for communication roundtable discussions, ensuring action items are addressed and reported monthly.

• Lead initiatives for the Better Together Team, fostering collaboration and employee engagement.

• Roll out employee guidelines and conduct site-specific safety training sessions.

• Collaborate with leadership to implement HR strategies that support people goals and the broader organizational roadmap.

• Support Spanish-speaking employees through available HR team members and translation services.

• Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures while addressing operational challenges proactively.

• At least 15 years of experience in Human Resources leadership roles.
• Expertise in employee relations, HR compliance, and compensation and benefits.
• Strong ability to problem-solve independently while knowing when to escalate issues.
• Proven track record of managing HR functions in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
• Experience coordinating benefit enrollment processes and merit-based performance planning.
• Ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering a collaborative and productive workplace.
• Familiarity with policies, guidelines, and safety training in manufacturing settings.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with Spanish-speaking employees through team support or translation services.
