Mike Cox of Robert Half is currently recruiting a newly created Financial Controller position to support a high growth CEO of a successful Consumer Products Company in Santa Monica.
Reporting to the CEO, the Financial Controller will play a pivotal role within the company and take full ownership for the accounting team and department.
The Financial Controller will support the executive leadership to continue to build out best-in-class accounting processes and controls as well as adding value on the strategic growth of the company.
You will manage an accounting team, covering month end accounting/general ledger, financial reporting as well as transactional accounting (AP and AR, and Payroll).
They are looking for an inspirational leader who can continue to scale and develop the high-performing accounting team.
Your background?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
- 10 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting leadership, including prior controller role in high growth/entrepreneurial or middle-market enterprises.
- Experience in a private equity-backed environment highly desirable.
- Proficient in Quickbooks or another robust accounting software, advanced Excel required.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through growth and transformation
- Required industry exposure to Food/Beverage/Consumer Products and in-house manufacturing.
Salary : $185,000 - $200,000
