This position oversees all corporate accounting, financial reporting, production finance, and compliance activities for Accounting & Finance. This role manages the close process, event/project accounting, forecasting, internal controls, and system improvements while partnering with senior leaders across Finance, Production, and Operations. This position leads and develops a high-performing accounting and production finance team.This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Lead accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Production Finance / Event Accounting
- Oversee project accounting for all events, including budgets, forecasts, cash flow, cost tracking, and settlements
- Review and approve project spending, invoices, allocations, and purchase orders
- Lead event financial forecasts and variance analysis; communicate issues proactively
- Perform or oversee onsite finance support and ensure documentation is audit-ready
Business Partnership & Leadership
- Partner with Production, Operations, FP&A, and senior leadership to support decision-making
- Provide financial insights on budgets, forecasts, event performance, and special projects
- Lead financial training for cross-functional teams, especially production staff
- Support onboarding and integration of acquisitions with proper accounting and consolidation
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage, mentor, and grow the accounting and production finance teams
- Recruit, train, and retain high-performing staff
- Foster a collaborative, solutions-focused, and process-oriented culture
- Oversee consolidated financial statements, reporting packages, and GL accuracy
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, corporate policies, and internal controls
- Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and system processes
- Manage audits and serve as primary contact for internal and external auditors
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
- 8 years of progressive accounting/finance experience; entertainment or events a plus
- 8 years of leading high performing teams
- Strong technical accounting skills with GAAP expertise; SEC/SOX experience preferred
- Experience leading close cycles, financial reporting, and project/event accounting
- Proven management experience developing and scaling teams
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Oracle, SAP, Airtable, or event budgeting tools preferred
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; thrives in fast-paced environments
- High integrity, sound judgment, and a hands-on, collaborative work style
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
