Financial Analyst - Entry Level

We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team in Jackson, Michigan. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, handling complex financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliations to drive strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
• Conduct manual accruals and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Perform account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain data integrity.
• Generate detailed financial reports in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance reporting accuracy and streamline processes.
• Provide documentation and support for internal audits, ensuring compliance and transparency.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables and macros, to analyze financial data.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within financial operations.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related role.
• Proficiency in financial systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and macros.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Certifications in financial systems or platforms are a plus but not required.
