Director of Accounting

We are looking for a highly skilled Director of Accounting to lead financial reporting operations in Aliso Viejo, California. This role requires a strong background in annual financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring strategic insight and meticulous attention to detail to drive accurate and timely reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all financial reporting regulations and standards.

• Manage the development and review of annual financial statements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data.

• Lead initiatives to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency.

• Provide guidance on earnings per share (EPS) calculations and related disclosures.

• Monitor changes in financial reporting requirements and implement necessary updates.

• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and insights.

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure growth and high performance.

• Develop and maintain financial reporting policies and procedures.

• Proven experience in financial reporting and SEC compliance.

• Strong knowledge of annual financial statement preparation and related regulations.

• Expertise in EPS calculations and reporting.

• Familiarity with SEC filings, including 10-Qs and 10-Ks.

• Advanced proficiency in accounting principles and financial analysis.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification required.
