Credit & Collections Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Credit & Collections Specialist for an Oconomowoc, WI area organization. In this role, you will manage credit applications, oversee commercial collections, and ensure the approval process aligns with company standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations and maintain strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Review and process credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.

• Manage commercial collections, ensuring timely follow-ups and resolution of outstanding balances.

• Approve credit limits based on company policies and financial analysis.

• Maintain detailed records of customer accounts and payment histories.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address credit-related issues and improve processes.

• Provide exceptional customer service to resolve disputes and maintain positive relationships.

• Prepare reports on credit and collections activities for management review.

• Analyze financial data to assess creditworthiness and mitigate risks.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

• Proven experience in credit and collections, preferably within a commercial setting.
• Strong understanding of credit application processes and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in managing customer accounts and resolving disputes.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions regarding credit approvals.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools for credit and collections.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
