Cost Accountant

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a key role supporting operational finance and driving accurate, data-driven decisions across the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and release new product costings in collaboration with Operations and Finance teams
• Calculate and track overhead costs, providing regular reporting and insights
• Analyze and report on variances in yield, production, and purchasing
• Perform inventory cycle count analysis and assist with inventory reporting
• Oversee and manage the Precious Metals process
• Conduct ROI analysis and prepare supporting documentation for CAPEX requests
• Maintain account reconciliations and support SOX compliance as assigned
• Lead forecasting and budgeting activities for Operations cost centers (expenses, capex, headcount)
• Prepare and post month-end journal entries
• Support requests from external auditors during reviews and audits
• Participate in cross-functional projects, including ERP implementations, system upgrades, and acquisition integrations
