Cost Accountant

A well-established manufacturing company is looking for a Cost Accountant to join a dynamic accounting team in Corona, California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, cost allocation, and forecasting, particularly within a manufacturing environment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical financial processes while ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and report on manufacturing costs, variances, and inventory valuations.

• Prepare comprehensive cost accounting reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Maintain accurate records of inventory valuation and cost of goods sold.

• Reconcile work-in-progress accounts and ensure proper allocation of costs.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support strategic decision-making.

• Conduct margin analysis and profitability studies to identify business opportunities.

• Provide detailed cost accounting documentation to support internal and external audits.

• Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to enhance cost control measures.

• Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and compliance with relevant regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of standard cost systems and inventory control processes.
• Proficiency in accounting systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
• Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve financial goals.
