Controller

Amanda Warren with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Chico, California. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in financial management, particularly within the banking and/or Agriculture industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and optimize financial operations while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the organization's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards within the banking sector.

• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.

• Collaborate with senior management to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.

• Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks effectively.

• Review and approve financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Conduct audits and assessments to maintain financial integrity.

• Stay updated on industry developments and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

• Proven experience as a Controller or similar financial leadership role.

• Strong background in the banking and/or Agricultural industry, with knowledge of relevant regulations and practices.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in financial management software and tools.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
