We are looking for a skilled Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist to join our client's team on a long-term contract basis in Columbus, Ohio. This role involves processing transactional maintenance for consumer loans, ensuring accuracy, and adhering to strict regulatory and service level requirements. The ideal candidate will excel in managing payment reversals, account closures, and loan servicing tasks while maintaining precise documentation and collaborating effectively with team members.Responsibilities:• Process and manage transactional maintenance tasks, including payments, payoffs, reversals, and account closures, for lines of credit.• Ensure timely clearance of internal accounts while meeting regulatory requirements and service level agreements.• Utilize internal systems to research borrower and account information, retrieve documents, and update records with detailed notations.• Access and analyze check and ticket images using CheckVision to support payment processing.• Leverage tools such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Excel to track data, schedule tasks, and communicate effectively.• Document daily production accurately in SharePoint and reconcile work to ensure alignment with end-of-day and month-end balancing requirements.• Investigate and resolve discrepancies by performing detailed analysis and escalating unresolved issues to management when necessary.• Collaborate with team members on shared responsibilities while independently managing assigned tasks.• Participate in team meetings, complete training phases, and engage in mentoring activities to enhance skills and knowledge.• Maintain a keen attention to detail to minimize customer impact and ensure high-quality service delivery.• Proven experience in loan servicing, payment processing, or a related field.• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint for documentation and communication.• Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies effectively.• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and service level agreements in consumer loan processing.• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and balance workloads.• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure transaction accuracy and minimize errors.• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.• Effective communication skills to interact with team members and escalate issues when needed.
