Commercial Leasing & Property Accounting Manager

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Leasing & Property Accounting Manager to oversee the operations at a reputable real estate development and property management firm. This on-site role near Livingston, New Jersey offers an excellent opportunity for growth, with the potential to advance into a department leadership position.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and provide guidance to lease administrators and bookkeeping staff, ensuring smooth operations.

• Supervise lease administration processes, including billing, reconciliations, and tenant account management.

• Collaborate with legal teams to address collections issues and ensure compliance with lease agreements.

• Review and verify financial entries to maintain accuracy across tenant communications and records.

• Oversee monthly close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Coordinate with auditors during financial statement reviews to ensure compliance and accuracy.

• Monitor and manage CAM reconciliations, ensuring proper allocation of costs to tenants.

• Utilize Yardi software to streamline accounting processes and reporting.

• Identify and implement improvements to enhance organizational efficiency and financial accuracy.

• Demonstrated experience in accounting and bookkeeping, including team management.
• Proficiency in Excel, with a strong ability to analyze and manipulate data.
• Familiarity with Yardi software or similar property management systems.
• Solid understanding of lease administration and CAM reconciliation processes.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with various departments.
• Ability to manage month-end close processes, including general ledger tasks and journal entries.
• Knowledge of financial statement audits and regulatory compliance.
