Collections Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Jeffersonville, Indiana. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining positive client relationships. Responsibilities:
• Handle commercial and consumer collections by contacting clients to resolve overdue payments.
• Review and analyze account histories to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate billing.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates and minimize outstanding balances.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address client concerns and provide payment solutions.
• Monitor accounts for compliance with agreed payment terms and escalate issues as needed.
• Prepare detailed reports on collection activities and account statuses for management review.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure a thorough and efficient collections process.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
• Assist with the development and refinement of collection processes to enhance productivity and accuracy.
• Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections.
• Strong understanding of credit and billing collection processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in analyzing account data and resolving discrepancies.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems.
