Bookkeeper

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Davis, California. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your financial expertise and organizational skills in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting practices, with a focus on maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations to maintain up-to-date and balanced financial records.
• Utilize QuickBooks to record, track, and analyze financial data effectively.
• Conduct check runs and oversee payment processing activities.
• Assist in month-end closing procedures, ensuring all financial records are properly updated and reconciled.
• Generate and review financial reports to support organizational decision-making.
• Maintain precise and organized bookkeeping records to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with team members to address financial discrepancies and improve accounting processes.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles with a focus on detail-oriented tasks.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and financial recordkeeping.
• Ability to execute check runs and manage payment transactions.
• Familiarity with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and addressing financial matters.
