Bookkeeper (Part-Time)

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our client's team in San Diego, California, on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. In this role, you will handle a variety of financial and administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of their accounting processes. This position requires someone proactive who can adapt to challenges and support the team effectively. This role will be part-time with super flexible hours, around 20 hours on a weekly basis.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee billing processes and address any issues to maintain timely invoicing.

• Execute month-end closing tasks with the assistance of automated systems.

• Deposit checks in the office and reconcile bank statements.

• Prepare and send financial reports to external auditing organizations.

• Support miscellaneous administrative duties as needed.

• Identify and address inefficiencies in systems or processes to improve workflow.

• Proven experience in bookkeeping with strong knowledge of general ledger activities.

• Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including basic formulas and spreadsheet integration.

• Ability to manage month-end closing tasks with attention to detail.

• Comfortable working in systems that may require troubleshooting or adaptation.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Willingness to take on tasks outside of primary job duties when necessary.
