Benefits Specialist

Join our team as a Benefits Operations Specialist, where you'll play a key role in administering and managing employee benefits programs accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Data Maintenance: Collaborate with key partners to ensure seamless functionality of Dayforce data interfaces. Audit and update data to ensure accurate records, handling additions, deletions, and manual updates when required.
• Funding and Reconciliation: Oversee Team Member deductions, ensure timely and accurate funding for benefits programs, and manage reconciliation processes for 401(k), HSA, FSA, and Deferred Compensation contributions.
• Benefits Administration: Handle 401(k) distribution requests through the Empower Plan Sponsor site, monitor Qualifying Life Events, complete National Medical Support notifications, and manage any state-mandated benefits reporting.
• Employee and Cross-Team Support: Own the Benefits inbox to address inquiries promptly, provide training and technical troubleshooting for benefits-related issues, and partner with Payroll, Onboarding, and external vendors to enhance employee experiences.
• Special Projects and Open Enrollment: Assist in the planning, testing, and implementation of Open Enrollment activities, and ensure benefits onboarding and integration for new acquisitions are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

• Experience: 2 years of experience in benefits administration, payroll operations, or a related role, with a strong emphasis on reconciling data and managing employee inquiries.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with benefits platforms such as Dayforce and Empower preferred. Strong Excel skills, including the ability to manage and audit large data sets.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to audit, validate, and reconcile complex data sets to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach to resolving employee inquiries and collaborating across departments.
• Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage competing deadlines, prioritize tasks effectively, and handle dynamic needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with Payroll, Onboarding, and external benefits vendors, ensuring seamless benefits operations and positive team member experiences.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, but equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with state and federal benefits regulations, including 401(k), HSA/FSA, and deferred compensation compliance.
