Attorney/Lawyer

Our client is seeking a strong Litigation Attorney with exposure to entertainment and intellectual property litigation. This is a long-term contract opportunity requiring expertise in handling complex disputes and trial preparation. The ideal candidate will thrive in fast-paced legal environments and be ready to take on challenging cases. This opportunity is fully remote, but candidates must be barred in CA.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in intellectual property and entertainment litigation matters, ensuring high-quality legal advocacy.

• Manage and facilitate remaining discovery processes, including document review and evidence preparation.

• Prepare detailed motions, briefs, and other legal documents to support litigation strategies.

• Develop trial-ready strategies and arguments for cases pending resolution.

• Conduct thorough legal research on applicable laws and precedents to strengthen client cases.

• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and ensure alignment on case progression.

• Attend court hearings and trials, presenting arguments effectively and professionally.

• Advise clients on legal risks and opportunities related to settlements and agreements.

• Maintain cloud-based case files and ensure all documentation is organized and accessible.

• Work closely with legal teams to ensure deadlines and procedural requirements are met.

• Active license to practice law in the state of California.

• Extensive experience in civil litigation, with a focus on intellectual property and entertainment law.

• Proven ability to draft clear and compelling motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

• Strong understanding of discovery processes and trial preparation techniques.

• Exceptional research and analytical skills to interpret laws and case precedents.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective client and courtroom interactions.

• High proficiency in using cloud-based legal tools and technologies.
