Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Portland, Tennessee. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of customer accounts, processing billing and payments, and supporting financial reporting tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for maintaining financial accuracy.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update customer records to ensure accurate billing addresses, payment terms, and payment methods.
• Collaborate with customers to resolve outstanding account issues and ensure timely payments.
• Process daily billing for shipments and miscellaneous items, along with customer credit memos.
• Handle daily cash receipts, including lockbox, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card payments.
• Regularly review accounts receivable aging reports to ensure customer accounts remain current.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes, including reconciling accounts and saving AR aging reports.
• Provide documentation and support for internal and external auditors as needed.
• Generate and distribute invoices and credit memo copies upon request.
• Support the Financial Controller with additional tasks during financial reporting periods.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounts receivable functions, including billing, cash applications, and collections.
• Experience with commercial collections and cash management processes.
• Familiarity with Epicor ERP software or similar systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
