Accounts Receivable Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Jersey City, New Jersey. In this contract position, you will play a key role in managing collections, handling accounts, and ensuring accurate billing processes. Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts receivable processes, including collections and cash applications, to ensure timely payments.

• Manage a primary account, maintaining accurate records and coordinating with stakeholders as needed.

• Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as VLOOKUP, to analyze financial data and improve reporting accuracy.

• Collaborate with the collections team to address outstanding invoices and resolve payment discrepancies.

• Perform billing functions and monitor cash activity to ensure proper allocation of funds.

• Maintain organized documentation for all accounts and financial transactions.

• Work closely with management to provide updates on account statuses and collection efforts.

• Conduct periodic reviews of accounts to identify trends and recommend improvements in processes.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all accounts receivable activities.

• Proven experience in accounts receivable, including collections and cash applications.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including the use of advanced functions like VLOOKUP.
• Familiarity with billing processes and cash activity reconciliation.
• Excellent numerical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external partners.
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with financial documentation and record-keeping.
• Knowledge of compliance standards related to accounts receivable.
