Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Puyallup, Washington. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to work fully onsite, contributing to a fast-paced accounting environment. The ideal candidate will excel at handling AP tasks independently and thrive in a role centered on detailed data entry and invoice processing.

Responsibilities:
• Process and scan invoices accurately into the accounting system.
• Assign correct coding to invoices and ensure proper payment allocation across multiple entities.
• Manage data entry tasks with precision and efficiency.
• Coordinate with the company owner to obtain necessary payment approvals.
• Provide support to team members on AP system usage and troubleshooting.
• Conduct weekly check runs and ensure timely mailing of payments every Friday.
• Maintain consistent workflow while adhering to established accounting procedures.
• Utilize software tools such as Nexus Payables and Sage Intacct to streamline AP processes.
• Proven experience in Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing and coding.
• Strong understanding of AP systems and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and maintain focus on assigned tasks.
• Familiarity with software platforms such as Nexus Payables and Sage Intacct.
• Detail-oriented mindset with excellent data entry skills.
• Competence in handling payments across multiple entities.
• Comfortable with a casual dress code and fully onsite work environment.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday within standard business hours.
