We are currently looking for a **skilled and detail oriented Accounts Payable Specialist** to join our team. This position will maintain accurate and timely processing of all accounts payable and provide support to our Accounting Department.
**Key Responsibilities **
- Verify vendor invoices have accurate job and general ledger codes.
- Enter invoices into the accounting system with correct job and general ledger codes.
- Reconcile vendor statements each month, request and process any missing invoices.
- Reconcile Company credit card statements monthly.
- Schedule and set up vendor check runs.
- Assist with month end closing.
- Assist in the development of the accounting processes and procedures to ensure strong internal controls, clear audit trail, proper documentation, and the flow of work between accounting and other departments.
- Assist corporate financial officers with projects as necessary.
- Answer phones, perform administrative tasks, and greet visitors as necessary.
- Support federal and agency audits to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Perform filing, copying and other related duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and conference room areas.
- Coordinate and schedule travel arrangements for crews during out-of-town assignments.
