Robert Half has partnered with a long-standing manufacturing business in the Plainville/Southington/Berlin area in their search of an Accounts Payable Specialist! Ideal candidates with all at least a couple of years of AP experience, experience with an ERP system, and ideally 3-way match processing proficiency. Our client offers an extremely robust benefits package, and you'll be joining a great accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions while adhering to established financial policies and procedures.

• Conduct thorough reviews of invoices to ensure proper approvals, accurate coding, and correct amounts.

• Match purchase orders and receipts with invoices to validate accuracy.

• Collaborate with various departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure smooth payment processing.

• Enter invoices into the organization's system for timely payment.

• Execute check runs in accordance with work instructions and schedules.

• Provide assistance to vendors and suppliers by addressing payment inquiries and resolving balance concerns.

• Attach copies of check payments to vouchers for accurate record-keeping.

• Organize and file vouchered invoices to maintain a structured and accessible database.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.

• Proficiency in processing invoices, including coding and validating details.

• Familiarity with executing check runs and ensuring compliance with payment schedules.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of financial data.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

• Demonstrated ability to reconcile discrepancies and resolve payment issues.

• Experience with accounts payable systems and tools.

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and best practices.
