Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Mesquite, Texas. In this Contract-to-Permanent role, you will play a key part in processing and managing invoices, payments, and vendor relationships within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team while refining your skills in accounts payable processes. Manufacturing Industry Experience is required.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify the accuracy of invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Process approximately 60 invoices weekly, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers.

• Conduct weekly payment runs and maintain thorough records of all transactions.

• Reconcile vendor statements regularly and address discrepancies or billing issues in a timely manner.

• Respond to vendor inquiries professionally and provide reliable support for resolution.

• Assist with month-end closing activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Maintain an organized filing system for accounts payable records, ensuring easy access and compliance.

• Prepare and post journal entries related to accounts payable activities as necessary.

• Facilitate the onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company standards.

• Provide general administrative support to the accounts payable department as needed.

• Proven experience in accounts payable, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in processing high volumes of invoices with accuracy and efficiency.
• Strong understanding of invoice coding, payment processing, and vendor reconciliation.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and resolve invoice discrepancies professionally.
• Familiarity with month-end closing processes and journal entry preparation.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining financial records.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with vendors and internal teams.
• Proficiency with accounts payable systems and tools, as well as general computer skills.
