Accounting Manager

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Warwick, Rhode Island. This role focuses on construction project accounting, requiring a high level of technical expertise and advanced financial management skills. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in handling complex reconciliations, grant administration, and compliance with federal and state funding requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee construction project accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.
• Perform advanced reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Manage grant administration processes, including compliance tracking and preparation of financial reports.
• Utilize expert-level Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and creating detailed financial reports.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure adherence to federal and state funding regulations.
• Support accounts payable and receivable operations, maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
• Leverage expertise in accounting software systems such as ERP, BlackLine, and Concur to streamline processes.
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
• Handle billing functions and ensure timely invoicing for all projects.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve overall accounting practices.
• Proven experience in construction project accounting with strong technical accounting skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis.
• Knowledge of grant administration and compliance with federal and state funding requirements.
• Familiarity with accounting software systems such as ERP, BlackLine, and Concur.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ability to perform detailed reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Experience conducting audits and resolving financial discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
