Accounting Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Georgetown, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:
• Perform accurate data entry to maintain financial records and documentation.
• Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice review and payment scheduling.
• Utilize Excel for creating spreadsheets, formulas, and financial reports.
• Operate QuickBooks to handle various accounting tasks effectively.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
• Record and input journal entries into the accounting system.
• Support the team with general accounting functions and financial audits.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including QuickBooks.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Skilled in using Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and journal entries.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and enterprise accounting functions.
• Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy under deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
