Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Loveland, Colorado. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. The successful candidate will handle a range of financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance within the construction industry.

Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable (AP) processes, including reviewing invoices and ensuring timely payments.
• Oversee accounts receivable (AR) operations, ensuring accurate billing and prompt collection of payments.
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform bank reconciliations to verify balances and identify discrepancies.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Assist in managing building permits and related financial documentation.
• Analyze financial data and provide reports to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Monitor financial transactions to identify errors and implement corrective measures.
• Support audits and reviews by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entries.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
• Familiarity with handling building permits and associated documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with high levels of accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for team environments.
• Ability to analyze financial data and generate meaningful reports.
