Accountant

Are you an experienced accountant looking to take on a dynamic and impactful role in the construction industry? We’re seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team and contribute to the financial management of construction projects in the Cedar Rapids area. This role focuses on Accounts Receivable (including project billing), Accounts Payable, and payroll processing for both union and non-union employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable: Manage project billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing while maintaining strong relationships with project stakeholders.
• Accounts Payable: Process invoices, track expenses, and reconcile accounts to ensure timely payments to vendors and subcontractors.
• Payroll Administration: Execute payroll processes for both union and non-union employees while adhering to compliance and reporting standards.
• Maintain organized and accurate transactional records to support financial reporting and auditing requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership to provide financial insights on construction projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is highly preferred.
• 2 years accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Familiarity with union payroll processes is a strong advantage.
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
