We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Waltham, Massachusetts. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.Responsibilities:• Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision.• Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure accurate financial records.• Prepare and review journal entries to support month-end and year-end closings.• Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to verify account balances.• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business decisions.• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.• Assist in audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.• Generate financial reports to track business performance and provide recommendations.• Support additional accounting tasks as needed to meet organizational goals.• Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.• Strong knowledge of journal entries and their role in financial reporting.• Proficiency in conducting bank reconciliations with attention to detail.• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.• Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies effectively.• Excellent organizational and time management skills.• Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams.• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
