Sr. Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal

Responding candidates must have 6-10 current years of senior plaintiff's personal injury experience to be considered for this fast-paced NY plaintiff’s personal injury law firm seeking a Senior PI Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in all phases of complex personal injury and construction accident litigation from initial intake through trial and post-judgment resolution. Paralegals will
- Draft and prepare Summons & Complaints, Verified Bills of Particulars, Supplemental Bills of Particulars, discovery demands, interrogatories, notices to admit, and responses to discovery
- Assist attorneys with NYSCEF filings and e-filing procedures in New York State and Federal Courts
- Track and calendar all court appearances, motion deadlines, compliance conference orders, and discovery schedules
- Coordinate service of process and monitor affidavits of service
- Prepare motion exhibits, attorney affirmations, subpoenas, and trial subpoenas
- Review, summarize, and organize medical records, deposition transcripts, and employment records
- Prepare chronologies, liability summaries, medical treatment summaries, and damages analyses
- Coordinate depositions including scheduling clients, witnesses, interpreters, and court reporters
- Prepare attorneys and clients for depositions, IMEs, EUOs, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences
- Maintain ongoing communication with insurance carriers, defense counsel, experts, and medical providers
- Assist with settlement negotiations and preparation of settlement demand packages
- Qualifications
- 6 years of current plaintiff’s personal injury litigation experience required
- Strong knowledge of New York litigation procedures, court rules, and NYSCEF
- Experience handling construction accident and Labor Law cases strongly preferred
- Ability to manage cases independently from inception through resolution
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Proficiency with case management and document management systems including Smart Advocate or similar software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and litigation calendaring systems
- Spanish bilingual skills are a plus
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
