Duties
- Support classroom activities by engaging children in age-appropriate play, learning exercises, and social interactions.
- Assist with supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure safety and positive behavior management.
- Help implement curriculum plans focused on childhood development, preschool readiness, and early education principles.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes learning and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily routines, developmental progress, and any concerns.
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly and appropriately.
- Support staff with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other caregiving responsibilities for infants and toddlers.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of child development instruction, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required; ongoing training encouraged.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and early childhood education best practices.
