Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their beverage and food orders with enthusiasm and accuracy
- Prepare a wide range of non-alcoholic drinks, including specialty coffees, teas, smoothies, and other beverages following established recipes and standards
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, give correct change, and balance cash drawers at shift end
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and customer seating areas
- Ensure food safety standards are met by adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Assist with retail sales transactions by restocking supplies, organizing product displays, and managing inventory levels
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions about menu items, offering recommendations, and resolving any concerns promptly
- Support food preparation tasks as needed to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers quickly while maintaining high-quality standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred; barista experience is highly valued
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing retail math tasks
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Experience with beverage service, drink preparation, and retail sales transactions is advantageous
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to stand for extended periods throughout shifts
