Barista Cashier

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their beverage and food orders with enthusiasm and accuracy
• Prepare a wide range of non-alcoholic drinks, including specialty coffees, teas, smoothies, and other beverages following established recipes and standards
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales efficiently and accurately
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, give correct change, and balance cash drawers at shift end
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and customer seating areas
• Ensure food safety standards are met by adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures
• Assist with retail sales transactions by restocking supplies, organizing product displays, and managing inventory levels
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions about menu items, offering recommendations, and resolving any concerns promptly
• Support food preparation tasks as needed to ensure timely service during busy periods
• Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers quickly while maintaining high-quality standards

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred; barista experience is highly valued
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
• Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing retail math tasks
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
• Experience with beverage service, drink preparation, and retail sales transactions is advantageous
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to stand for extended periods throughout shifts

Pay: $22.79 - $27.44 per hour
