Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Powersports Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the repair and maintenance of motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and other powersports vehicles. As a Powersports Mechanic at RJ Powersports, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of powersports equipment while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnostic and Repair: Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in powersports vehicles, including motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and scooters. Perform repairs and maintenance to ensure vehicles operate efficiently and safely.
• Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and fluid checks. Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers to understand their concerns and provide clear explanations of repair work needed. Offer recommendations for maintenance and upgrades based on vehicle condition and customer needs.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on repairs. Update customer service logs and repair orders as required.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other mechanics and service staff to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. Assist in training new team members as needed.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage parts inventory, ensuring necessary parts are in stock and ordering additional parts as required.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a mechanic, with a focus on powersports vehicles preferred. Certification in motorcycle or powersports mechanics is a plus.
• Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Proficient in the use of hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair machinery. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of powersports vehicle systems and components, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and suspension.
• Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain technical information to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and maneuver heavy parts and equipment. Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including outdoors and in a workshop setting.
