Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Book Keeper/Assistant Property Manager to join our vibrant property management team. You will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, managing lease agreements, and supporting daily operations to ensure our properties run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of property accounting, including data entry, filing, and reconciliation of financial transactions using QuickBooks.
- Oversee rent collection, late payments, and account discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution.
- Lease administration, including preparing contracts, renewals, and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines.
- Support property leasing activities by coordinating showings, screening applicants, and conducting background checks in accordance with landlord-tenant law.
- Maintain accurate records of legal documents, contracts, and correspondence related to property management activities.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate property repairs and facilities management.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant inquiries promptly via phone or in person while maintaining professional office etiquette.
- Assist in conflict management and negotiation efforts between tenants and landlords to foster positive relationships.
Skills
- Experience with accounting software like QuickBooks.
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with effective phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities.
- Competence in negotiation, contracts management, and lease administration.
- Office experience with data entry, filing systems, and general administrative tasks within a real estate context.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in data entry and record keeping.
