Job Overview
As the Golf Operations Manager, you’ll partner closely with the General Manager to drive the overall operational, financial, and guest-experience success of Riverwalk Golf Club. This is a hands-on leadership role designed to prepare you for future General Manager responsibilities within Touchstone Golf & KemperSports. You’ll help shape the daily experience for members, guests, and employees while learning how to manage the full scope of a dynamic, multi-department golf facility.

What You’ll Do
Operational Leadership
- Learn and master the responsibilities required of a General Manager with Touchstone Golf & KemperSports .
- Direct oversight of Golf Shop Operations with a strong focus on Tee Sheet Management, Merchandising, and Team Member Development.
- Coordination with all Golf Outing Events following hand off from Director of Sales. Taking the event from contract through execution on the day of.
- Serve as acting GM when needed, overseeing all major departments—Golf Operations, Agronomy, Food & Beverage, Membership Sales, Marketing, and Pool operations.
- Support business planning, budgeting, and execution of club-wide goals, including membership growth and retention.
- Protect and elevate Riverwalk’s brand by upholding high service standards, operational consistency, and quality performance across all areas.
Guest & Member Experience
- Ensure an exceptional hospitality experience for members and guests throughout the club.
- Lead teams in delivering premium service and memorable interactions every day.
- Collaborate with department heads to build and sustain a strong service culture rooted in Touchstone’s mission and values.
Financial & Administrative Excellence
- Uphold proper accounting procedures, cash handling, and daily deposit requirements.
- Monitor labor expectations by reviewing scheduling, staffing levels, and operational efficiency with the GM.
- Direct activities that meet financial goals while balancing Riverwalk’s market positioning and service expectations.
Communication & Team Development
- Maintain clear, timely communication with staff, ownership, vendors, and support teams.
- Provide inspirational leadership that fuels employee morale, teamwork, and professional growth.
- Participate in weekly sales and operations alignment meetings to track performance, direct outreach efforts, and stay ahead of market trends.
Safety & Facility Care
- Ensure facilities, equipment, and assets are well-maintained, secure, and safe.
- Assess course and weather conditions daily for playability.
- Respond quickly to safety concerns; CPR/first aid proficiency required (or ability to obtain).
Other Responsibilities
- Support Touchstone Golf & KemperSports initiatives, programs, and evolving policies.
- Partner closely with Operational support teams and ensure department heads stay connected and empowered.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Physical Demands
This role is active and hands-on, placing you at the heart of daily club operations. To succeed, you’ll need the ability to:
- Move comfortably throughout the facility, including frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Lift and carry items up to 30 lbs., including occasional overhead lifting and pushing/pulling lighter equipment or supplies.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a driven, service-minded leader ready to grow within a fast-paced golf environment. Ideal candidates will bring:
- A two- or four-year college degree.
- 2 years of experience in a golf operations, hospitality, or leadership role.
- PGA or LPGA certification is a plus—not required, but strongly valued.
- A positive, team-oriented mindset and a desire to lead by example.
- Strong communication skills, operational awareness, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest and member experiences.
