Vocational Instructor

Riverview School is an independent coeducational boarding/day school, providing a caring community and learning environment for adolescents and young adults with complex language, learning and cognitive disabilities. We are committed to developing student competence and confidence in academic, social and independent living skills. We have immediate openings for a Full-Time Vocational Instructor. Essential Job Functions: ●Provide instruction of vocational skills ●Engage in on-the-job training in a variety of industries and occupations ●Adapt job skill training to meet the individual needs of students ●Collaborate and communicate with community partners to facilitate a mutually beneficial partnership ●Collect individual student data weekly ●Report on student progress quarterly Requirements: ●Experience working with students with learning and intellectual disabilities ●Willingness to engage in professional development to gain the knowledge necessary to effectively work with the Riverview student profile ●Demonstrate an understanding of the School mission and adhere to all policies and procedures. ●Related experience (experience in an independent school environment preferred) ●Strong ability to incorporate technology into instruction ●Exceptional written, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills ●Ability to handle a fast-paced environment ●Passion for Riverview’s mission and the field of special education ●Current/valid driver’s license and ability to drive students ●Suitable background check results (CORI, SORI, DCF) and fingerprinting required ●Legal authorization to work in the US No phone calls please.

Salary : $33,383 - $40,000
