What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator position at Riverside Contracting?
Riverside Contracting Inc. is seeking scraper operators to support road construction projects across Montana and Wyoming. You’ll play an important role in maintaining safe operations, completing daily equipment checks, and working alongside a strong team to keep projects moving forward.
Start Date and Location: Extensive travel is required. Work locations will change as the season progresses, however, we are currently seeking operators to work in the Brockway, MT area.
Job Type: Full-time, Seasonal
Qualifications:
- Ability to work flexible or extended hours depending on weather and project schedules
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, climb, and operate equipment for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks related to site prep: clear & grub, earthwork, grade, drainage, compaction, and other material handling
- Coordinate with surveyors, foremen, and superintendents to meet project specifications and deadlines
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report deficiencies to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Assist with general labor or other tasks as needed
