- The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Repair and maintain HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and kitchen equipment
- Replace damaged ceiling tiles, floor tiles, and wall coverings
- Perform preventative maintenance to equipment on a scheduled basis
- Handle routine calls, prioritized by guest service needs
- Plumbing, drywall repair, carpentry functions, special trade
- Snow removal during the winter months
- All other duties as assigned
- Must have 2-3 years' experience in general maintenance including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
- EPA certification or certificate in HVAC, plumbing, or facilities maintenance preferable
- Must be mechanically inclined and able to read an electrical meter
- Must be able to read a wiring diagram
- Must have a current valid driver's license
- Driving record must meet driver eligibility requirements of Rivers Casino's insurance policy
- Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects, or assignments
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow all policies and procedures including but not limited to attendance, appearance, safety, and security policies
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holiday
- Continuously required to see, talk and hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel and to reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to stand and walk, pushing/pulling.
- Occasionally bend/stoop and kneel.
- Occasionally reaching waist to shoulder, knee to waist and floor to knee.
- Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
