Town and Country Transit, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is looking for a full-time Building Maintenance employee.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with daily operations of building and garage area by following established policies, procedures, and regulations.
Maintain garage, administration building, grounds, and terminal in good operating condition.
Respond to emergency maintenance situations.
Perform monthly building, terminal and grounds maintenance tasks.
Assist mechanic, as needed.
Work with Authority to personnel to achieve organizational objectives.
Maintain tools and equipment in safe working order.
Attend trainings and obtain certifications as necessary.
Serve as back up driver in emergency situations.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
Subject to background/proficiency checks; DOT drug & alcohol pre-employment, random, post-accident and/or reasonable suspicion testing.
High School Diploma / equivalent, some college preferred.
Valid PA Driver’s License – CDL with Passenger (P) Endorsement preferred.
Pass DOT medical exam and keep DOT medical card current.
Able to work requiring exertion in excess of 100 lbs. force occasionally, in excess of 50 lbs. of force frequently, and excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly to use necessary tools and to move objects.
Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push and pull as necessary to carry out job duties.
Able to perform job duties requiring prolonged standing, with intermittent periods of sitting, and short walking.
Requires the ability to use hands dexterously to operate tools or controls.
Able to perform janitorial, building, and property maintenance with appropriate dexterity.
