Riverdale Rehab and Nursing Care Center is currently seeking for a Part- Time Recreational Leader to join our dynamic organization.

JOB DUTIES
- Oversee day-to-day activities of residents in the facility
- Initiate and promote activities within facility and stimulate patient interests and well-being
- Regulate programs in accordance with patient capabilities, needs, and interest
- Transport residents to and from activity room as required
- Provide supervision and leadership for other activity department staff meetings
- Prepare progress reports for medical staff reflecting patient reactions and evidence of progress or regression
- Maintain all activity related records required by regulations and Medical Records Department activity assessment, progress notes, and discharge summary
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Certification in Therapeutic Recreation or Certified Activities Director
- 4 or more years’ experience in a skilled nursing setting
Must also have experience working with Dementia patients
