Position Overview
As a Licensed Clinician, the individual hired is responsible for providing clinical and related services to clients of the center utilizing appropriate culturally competent, evidence-based practices and policies. You will assist in diagnosing and creating a treatment plan for all clients. You will be a critical part of the client’s treatment program and assure them they adhere to the guidelines of the facility’s programming.
Location/Schedule:
750 Hazel Street, Macon, GA – 36-hour 3–12-hour shifts between Sunday-Saturday and Every Other Weekend.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans, monitor progress, and coordinate discharge planning.
- Perform commitment evaluations and execute orders for involuntary commitments in accordance with clinical standards.
- Serve as a client advocate to coordinate services and respond to crisis situations.
- Refer clients and families to community resources such as financial assistance, legal aid, housing, employment, and educational services.
- Facilitate support groups and provide family education to promote understanding and support of the client.
- Identify environmental and social barriers impacting client progress through interviews and record reviews.
- Conduct clinical assessments to evaluate behavioral health needs of individuals receiving services.
- Fully licensed in one of the following: LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT, LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
- Master’s degree in a social services field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services) or a related discipline.
- Minimum of one (1) year post-master’s experience providing mental health and/or substance abuse services.
- At least one (1) year of case management experience, preferably in community-based settings and/or within the criminal justice system.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with the chronically mentally ill population.
