River Edge Behavioral Health is seeking an energetic and entrepreneurial thought leader to lead the growth and development of Core Services. The Front Desk Clerk for Core Services will report directly to the Program Manager for Outpatient Core Services.
The Front Desk Clerk will play a crucial role in the daily operations of the clinic by providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to clients, their families, and clinic staff. The ideal candidate will have some experience working in a mental health setting.
FLSA Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Location/Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet and assist clients, their families, and clinic staff in a professional and courteous manner.
Maintain a well-organized and efficient front desk area.
Keep office supplies stocked and reorder supplies as needed.
Manage the clinic schedule and coordinate appointments for clients.
Maintain and update the client referral tracker.
Handle incoming and outgoing faxes.
Verify client eligibility for services and assist with insurance-related inquiries.
Answer phones, and voicemails, and address client questions and concerns promptly and appropriately.
Assist with medical records requests and office logs.
Multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Interact with clients who may be experiencing emotional distress.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one (1) year of relevant experience.
Previous experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficiency in using office equipment and computer applications.
Valid Georgia Driver’s license
