What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at River City Physical Therapy?
Full-Time Physical Therapist
River City Physical Therapy | Post Falls, Idaho
River City Physical Therapy is growing, and we are looking for a motivated Physical Therapist to join our family-owned practice in Post Falls, just minutes from Lake Coeur d’Alene.
We have served North Idaho for more than 30 years, and we are now preparing for an exciting next chapter with a brand new facility designed around modern physical therapy, active rehabilitation, strength, performance, and long term patient outcomes.
Our goal is simple: give great clinicians the time, tools, and environment they need to provide excellent care without burning themselves out.
What Makes River City Different?
✔ Manageable Patient Loads
Our PTs typically see closer to 10 patients per day, not 13–14 patients packed into a high volume schedule.
✔ Family & PT-Owned Practice
We are not owned by a private equity group or large corporate organization. Decisions are made locally by people who understand physical therapy and care about the clinicians working here.
✔ Strong Compensation & Benefits
We offer competitive compensation at the top end of the local market along with excellent benefits.
✔ Brand New State-of-the-Art Facility Coming Soon
Our new clinic is being designed to feature one of the largest open PT gym environments in North Idaho.
✔ Dedicated Documentation Time
Documentation time is built directly into the workday so you are not expected to finish notes at home every night.
✔ Built-In 30 Minute Lunch Break
You have protected time during the day to reset and recharge.
The new space will include:
- Expansive open PT and performance gym
- Top of the line rehabilitation and strength equipment
- Indoor and outdoor turf
- Modern treatment spaces
- Dedicated areas for active rehab, strengthening, return to sport, and performance based care
- More room and better equipment to treat patients beyond the traditional treatment table
Benefits
- Medical insurance
- 401(k) matching
- Paid time off
- Competitive salary
- Performance incentives
- Professional growth opportunities
- Supportive, family-owned work environment
- Brand new facility currently in development

- Work related injuries
- Strength and mobility limitations

We want our therapists to have the freedom and time to provide thoughtful, individualized care rather than simply moving patients through a packed schedule.
Responsibilities

- Develop individualized plans of care
- Provide skilled therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular reeducation, and other appropriate interventions
- Progress patients safely throughout the rehabilitation process
- Educate patients on recovery, movement, and injury prevention

- Help create a positive and supportive clinic culture
- Contribute to the continued growth of River City Physical Therapy
What We Are Looking For
- Licensed or license eligible Physical Therapist in Idaho
- Doctor of Physical Therapy degree or equivalent
- Team oriented mindset
- Commitment to high quality, individualized patient care
- Passion for professional growth
- Interest in orthopedics, sports medicine, post surgical rehab, spine care, or other specialty areas is a plus
New graduates and experienced clinicians are both encouraged to apply.
Why River City?
We believe clinicians do their best work when they are supported, not overloaded.
That means manageable patient volumes, time to document, protected lunch, strong compensation, good benefits, and leadership that actually understands the day to day realities of being a Physical Therapist.
We are building something new and exciting in North Idaho, and we want great clinicians to grow with us.
If you are looking for a PT position where you can provide high quality care, avoid the high volume burnout model, and be part of the next chapter of a locally owned practice, we would love to connect.
