Position Summary
The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in the daily operations of Rita’s Italian Ice. This role helps create a positive customer experience while ensuring efficient store operations, strong teamwork, and excellent product quality. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising Treat Team Members, handling cash and register responsibilities, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support Treat Team Members during shifts
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Count drawers/registers accurately before and after shifts
- Demonstrate strong money handling and cash management skills
- Ensure accurate cash deposits and maintain register accountability
- Train and coach new employees on company procedures and customer service standards
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation standards throughout the store
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocking supplies
- Help manage shift schedules and ensure proper staffing coverage
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive work environment
- Ensure all products are prepared and served according to Rita’s standards
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous customer service or leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable handling cash and balancing registers accurately
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, including cold environments
