What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiter position at Risus Talent Partners?
Risus Talent Partners is a boutique recruiting firm, transforming the industry through humanizing talent partnerships. We intentionally build vertical expertise, and modular construction is one of our strongest and fastest-growing practices.
We are proud members of the Modular Building Institute, have employees with long-standing modular industry careers, and work with a robust network of modular manufacturers, GC’s, developers, and solution providers across North America.
This is not a traditional recruiter role, and that’s intentional. We’re looking for someone from the modular construction industry who:
- Knows the space
- Understands the roles, terminology, challenges, and pace
- Can “talk the talk” with both candidates and clients
- Is ready to leverage that expertise in a consultative recruiting career
If you’ve worked in modular construction and have always been the person others come to for connections, advice, or talent recommendations, this role may be a natural next step.
The Role
As a Partner, you’ll focus on recruiting talent within the modular construction and adjacent industries. You’ll partner closely with modular companies and candidates, using your industry credibility to build trust quickly and deliver high-quality matches.
What You’ll Do
Industry-Focused Recruiting
- Recruit for roles across the modular construction space and adjacent industries (operations, sales, leadership, technical roles, and more)
- Leverage your existing industry knowledge and network to identify and engage talent
- Conduct meaningful, high-trust conversations with candidates who appreciate that “you get it”
- Partner with modular clients as a trusted extension of their team
- Understand their business models, growth plans, and talent pain points
- Provide market insight and honest guidance, not transactional recruiting
- Build long-term relationships with modular professionals
- Educate candidates on career paths, company differences, and industry opportunities
- Advocate for candidates while balancing client needs
- Develop into a niche subject-matter recruiter within modular construction
- Grow your book of business and personal brand within the industry
- This is a team based role and will require other responsibilities as assigned and needed in order to help grow the business
What We’re Looking For
- Background in modular construction
- Strong understanding of modular industry roles, workflows, and terminology
- Natural relationship builder, people trust you quickly
- Interest in transitioning into recruiting
- Comfortable having professional, consultative conversations
- Self-motivated, organized, and accountable
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build something long-term
Recruiting and/or sales experience is a huge plus, but not required.
