Job Summary
A growing, privately held organization is seeking an experienced Controller / Director of Finance to lead and oversee all accounting and financial operations. This individual will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving overall financial performance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including AP, AR, and general ledger
- Prepare and present financial reports to leadership, providing insights and recommendations
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting standards (GAAP)
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Lead annual audit processes and work with external auditors
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities
- Develop and maintain internal controls and financial procedures
- Partner cross-functionally to support business initiatives and operational improvements
- Support strategic planning through financial analysis and reporting
- Mentor and develop accounting team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CMA preferred
- 10 years of accounting/finance experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
