We are seeking a Drafting Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting custom residential modular construction projects within a fast-paced off-site manufacturing environment.
This role will play an integral part in the coordination and development of schematic designs, drawing packages, shop fabrication drawings, and production documentation from concept through manufacturing. The ideal candidate will bring strong CAD/Revit experience, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and develop 2D/3D shop drawings and fabrication documentation
• Support project schematic designs, drawing sets, and production drawing coordination
• Utilize industry drafting and production standards for assigned projects
• Collaborate with project management, procurement, product development, operations, production, and customers
• Coordinate with third-party design and regulatory professionals
• Maintain accurate project drawing records and documentation
• Assist with material order preparation and scheduling coordination
• Provide design ideas and technical input based on customer/project requirements
• Support production-driven engineering workflows within a modular/off-site construction environment
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on CAD drafting experience in a professional environment
• Experience using Revit and AutoCAD together in cross-functional teams required
• Strong understanding of CAD workflows and drafting standards
• Knowledge of architecture, architectural drafting, engineering technology, fabrication, or related fields
• Strong communication, analytical, and project coordination skills
• Ability to work effectively within collaborative team environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Experience:
• Modular/off-site construction experience
• Residential or commercial building construction exposure
• Manufacturing or fabrication process knowledge
• BIM workflow understanding and 3D modeling experience
• ERP workflow knowledge
• Experience with Navisworks, BIM360, Lumion, Chief Architect, BricsCAD, Tekla, Procore, Solidworks, SketchUp, Rhino, Dynamo, or Grasshopper
