We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Drafting Engineer to join a leading off-site/modular construction manufacturer supporting custom residential and commercial projects from concept through fabrication.
This role is integral to the successful design, coordination, and production of modular construction projects and will work closely with engineering, production, project management, procurement, and sales teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and develop 2D/3D shop drawings and production drawing packages
• Coordinate schematic designs, fabrication details, and project drawing sets
• Utilize company and industry drafting/design standards for assigned projects
• Collaborate with internal departments and third-party design/regulatory professionals
• Maintain accurate drawing records and project documentation
• Support material order preparation and production scheduling workflows
• Offer design ideas and solutions based on project and client needs
• Assist in driving projects from concept through successful completion
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on CAD software experience in a professional environment
• Experience using Revit and AutoCAD in cross-functional design teams required
• Understanding of CAD workflows and drafting standards required
• Strong communication, analytical, and project coordination skills
• Knowledge of architecture, drafting, engineering technology, fabrication, or related disciplines
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Experience:
• Modular/off-site construction experience
• Architectural or commercial building construction exposure
• Manufacturing process knowledge
• Familiarity with modular systems and production-driven design workflows
• Experience with Navisworks, BIM360, Lumion, Chief Architect, BricsCAD, Tekla, Procore, Solidworks, or SketchUp
