The Director of Communications will develop and champion our communications strategy, oversee digital and print platforms, guide brand identity, and lead our talented Communications Team. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Communications Team and oversee all church-wide messaging, promotion, and content.
- Manage and protect the church’s brand identity across digital, print, and visual communication.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy, including website, social media, email, and digital signage.
- Create high-quality graphics, videos, and storytelling pieces that communicate the mission and ministries of A&M UMC.
- Collaborate with ministry leaders to plan and promote events, programs, and initiatives.
- Oversee weekly email communications, publication standards, and content quality control.
- Build positive relationships with local media outlets and coordinate coverage of major initiatives.
- Use analytics and best practices to continually improve communication effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading communications or marketing teams.
- Demonstrated excellence in writing, editing, digital communication, and visual storytelling.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools.
- Strong understanding of branding, digital strategy, social media, and user experience.
- Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
- Experience communicating within a Christian ministry context preferred.
- A commitment to the mission and ministry of A&M United Methodist Church.
