What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Ministry Intern for the Summer of 2026 position at Rio Texas Annual Conference, The United Methodist Church?
This is a paid, full-time position. A housing option may be possible.

The Student Ministry Intern Will:

The Student Ministry Intern Will:
- Lead programming for summer activities
- Help plan and implement weekly student programs (Five:32, Sunday School, etc.)
- Carry out administrative & outreach tasks (e-mails, phone calls, etc.)
- Challenge students to higher levels of discipleship
- Has been out of high school for at least two years
- Seeks a committed relationship with Jesus Christ and is committed to setting that example
- Has a passion for working with teenagers and is available to their needs
- Is self-motivated
- Has good leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Be held accountable to their duties by the Director of Student Ministry
- Work from Monday, May 17th thru Sunday, August 9th
- Assist with Student Sunday School at 9:30am on Sundays
- Attend 11:00am worship each Sunday
- Submit to a criminal background check
- Complete required safety training
