Nurse Supervisor – Summer Camp Program

Location: Westport, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time (June 16 – August 9, 2025)

Our client hosts a nationally recognized summer music school situated near the Adirondack lakes region. The environment resembles a semester-length conservatory experience, complete with residential housing, faculty-directed rehearsals, and full-time campus living. Students ages 10–30 participate in a demanding artistic program, making clinical readiness and preventative oversight pivotal to a successful season.

Base Salary: $1,500–$1,700 per week
Starting Bonus: None
Relocation Assistance: Travel stipend provided
Shift: Onsite role with rotating days off

The Head Nurse manages day-to-day medical coverage utilizing a 3-bed infirmary, ensuring immediate response capability, medication distribution, and documented care. This position collaborates tightly with leadership staff, faculty coordinators, and external medical facilities when cases require escalation.

• Supervise all medical and sanitation standards

• Maintain detailed medical logs and records

• Support arrival-day screenings and health orientation

• Respond to acute injury and emergent symptoms

• Coordinate off-site medical services when needed

• Communicate clearly with guardians, staff, and campus leads

• Oversee supply ordering and readiness

• Monitor and control seasonal illness trends

• Active or eligible NY RN/LPN license

• Current CPR/AED/First Aid

• Comfortable living onsite and working on-call rotation

• Experience supporting ages 10–30

• Prior work in camps, residential programs, or schools

• Strong interpersonal skills and calm response style

• Team-first orientation

• Wilderness First Aid preferred
